this is my unique airbearing system feeded by a large compressor standing in a different room providing enough air for the real airbearing it uses. It has two exquisite vintage tonearms, SAEC 506 with lifting mechanism and SpJ Titan coming with a Lyra Titan (SAEC) and a Kondo IO-m (SpJ). All feet are lifted by air too. Bearing and feet are controlled by a separate unit.
Low air pressure (Micro Seiki, TechDas) and high air pressure systems (Caeles II, Apolyth) are different. Only with high pressure you are able to decouple totally platter and the rest of the system. In this way we speak of a real Airbearing system. For most audiophiles the compressor in this way is too loud/expensive. Of course you need to use it in a different room!
the motors are two Sperling drives.
