at New Years Eve I received the four 45 LPs from Ryuichi Sakamotos last work – Opus. It is the silence in between the fantastic piano accords which makes him a genius in composing and playing.
The music is wonderful, nevertheless I expected an even more silent Japanese pressing. Especially on LP3 (F, last track) you hear some small clicks. On LP1 (B, second track too.).It looks as the pressing Manager did not make his best job. The other LPs are ok. Inner sleeves are not lined. The LPs have to be centered afterwards. Then you realize what immense power and stability his music is all about. An add on is when you get the LPs tampered by the AFI.
I put it on our dining table to show it is well serviced at us… Listening to Sakamotos music on a good system it is like a dream you are sunk into it…

Just received my copy directly from Japan. Your comment on the pressing are spot on and I may add that Ryuichi Sakamoto did not deserve this low quality pressing. the back ground noise is terrible for such a beautiful record. So disappointed!
