I installed two original and already some 50 hours played tubes as first gain stage, the HL2K from the Allnic H-8000 DHT ( in covered design). These two tubes provide a more dynamic, more clear and a somehow stronger bass. This is what Mr. Park recommends for the best Allnic phono stage.

I also exchanged the Kron tubes (standard equipment for the 5000) with the latest Emission Labs tubes. Both variants have advantages, maybe the Emission Labs is more on the analytical, fine and more balanced way, a little lower on volume. Finally it made a “click in” into my ears.

At the moment I am very happy with the upgrade and enjoy a somehow similar Allnic H-8000 DHT.
