I received my Allnic Puritas from Mr. Park after revision. Peter Schmitz as the German distributor was very helpful. Now – it is really an enjoyment when playing with that kind of a beautiful cart.
The design reproduces music via a mechanism that emulates an LP‘s lathe‘s cutter head. Unlike many other carts the Allnic designs have two separate , hollow, polycarbonate bobbins as opposed to one. Allnic believes that polycarbonate reacts far more quickly than traditional iron giving the Puritas greater speed and agility in the grooves.
by exchanging the motor Park seems to have used the new rubber damper he developed. Finding this new damper was a kind of an „Eureka“ moment. Well done KS Park 👍
btw. the headshell is an individually cut Japanese special wood, quite costly and unique.
in the background you see the Coralstone Mono in an old SME 3012 (I) enabling a true Mono line via the Monophonic pre going to the EMT line.

You need to show me a cart without dampers. Usually today they are made of polymer, no rubber anymore. But the term is always used. Absolutely crucial is the cartridge concept with the matched damping concept going in line.
Ikeda’s 7 series have a two layer damping concept thus allowing to keep its elasticity for 3 to 4 decades.

Gehäuse bleibt, ein zusätzlicher, besserer Schutz für die gesamte cartridge in Form eines gelungenen Plastic-Covers. Denke es ist ein neuer Motor mit den darauf abgestimmten Dampern. Schon erstaunlich, was solch eine Konstruktion an Klangqualität ermöglicht.
