Grand Master Lens

The Sony A 1 needs a good lens. Therefore I went for the EF 2.8, 24-70 grand master lens. The combo makes exceptional images, also by the 2x converter with the GM 100-400.

800 mm, shot from the hand. I will not use this long lens for my audiophile sortiment (😄) but for other purposes.

  1. Eckart,
Yes, amazing camera and lens set! This is probably the finest small format camera available today, capable of shooting any type of photography.

I remembered seeing this post as I am considering one of these for my professional work. Love the 800mm hand held shot. I will use my existing Zeiss lenses as most of my work requires wide angle prime lenses.

The Grand Master lenses are impressive. Maybe I can get the small zoom, as that is something I do not have.

    Very nice as always.

    • Hi Norman,

Yes, the Sony A1 in line with the Fuji GFX 50s are my current favourite cameras. I added four more images of the San Marco Cathedral in Venice from this year, made by the Sony.
I love this instrument very much. Nevertheless I also enjoy my Leicas and Canons…

Excellent images. I agree, I enjoy all of my cameras and I am still shooting films well! But this Sony is really special.

    Thanks for the extra photos!
