Locomotive Breath

Yesterday I went to Jethro Tull, one of the old Dinosaurs of Rock’n’Roll. It should become my last concert waving Ian Anderson a heartily thank you to the concert stage. He is now 77, tired of playing the old songs. He played more or less songs from the last albums in a very good musical quality. Of course his voice has been damaged over time, the flute is still the most important instrument he is playing, no guitars, no other instruments.

I remember concerts in a different than routine kind, without pause and full of surprises. It seems we are getting old. But maybe these are also symptoms of the modern times, heavy prices, good organisation, timely begin and only one give away song – Locomotive Breath.

  1. E,

I missed the opportunity to see him a few years back at Ravinia in Illinois. Great photos, and regardless of the era of music, I’m sure it was an excellent experience. A couple of months back I seen Sammy Hagar, also the same age. He has slowed down a little but it was still wonderful seeing the show with my wife and daughter. I love that they are still in the game.

Maybe next year I can catch his show?
