it is a sad message which reached us. Dieter Burmester, the ingenious founder, engineer and musician has passed away. He was in charge of his internationally well known company  Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH since its foundation in 1978.

In 1982 he was a founding member of the High End Society, organizing the High End Show in Frankfurt, later & today in Munich.

I met him at High End 2008 at the time when I was building my listening room at home. We quickly went into details as he was building his own room in exactely the same year. It was a pleasant talk with a person full of rich experience – not the typical HiFi-man.
