The Toho unit is a heavy weight one. You may calibrate height and balance by the three legs.

hi dear ….can I ask you how do you judge how the RMG309I made in japan sounds for you compared to the old RMG 309 made in denmark …
or compared to other tonearms you have ….

Hi Louis,
The simple design does not really show what kind of musicality this tonearm transports. Nevertheless it is hard to compare with my 20 tonearms I am driving. I would rate him in the upper middle field, anyway better than the new Ortofon tonearms which I never was convinced of.
The old vintage arms are a class of their own! (see: Once upon a time).
