I compared two records of Jennifer Warnes – The Hunter.

One sample was tempered, one not.

I took away the intermediate disk, just tempering one record.

The difference is listenable.

I sat down in quite a comparable environment, my listening chair 😉

Starting with the non tempered sample was very nice. It is a delicate recording & pressing. I enjoyed!

Then came the change to the tempered sample.

How should I describe, the voice is much more balanced, no sharp upper frequencies.
The sound is really much more in a relaxation mode. Very smooth but with full energy, not like some cutting or anything else. I like it even more. Also the saxophones, soft and musical…
